I have a miniature schnauzer and this clipper did not cut her hair at all. If that were possible, I wouldn't have needed the clippers. A pekingese with matted fur presented some problems but, all things considered, I believe the product performed with good power and it was quiet enough not to disturb the pet. 0 of 0 found this review helpful: Need to get the more expensive model., 2008-06-25 I got this clipper for my dog but the blade was to fine, I then found out this model only has one style blade. I needed a #10 or #4 for my dog. The more expensive model has the ability to change blades not this one. The motor drive is great. The manufacture gave me credit toward an upgrade and I shipped it back and they shipped me the proper clipper. Great customer service at ANDIS.
